I am beyond thrilled and honored to announce that I am currently holding the prestigious title of the top international athlete in disability obstacle racing within my category. With hard work, determination, and relentless passion, I conquered the British, European, and World Championships last year, solidifying my status as a true champion. This journey has been filled with sweat, tears, and countless sacrifices, but every moment has been worth it to reach this pinnacle of success. I am proud to represent my disability category on a global stage and show the world that anything is possible with unwavering dedication and belief in oneself.

I am a warrior, a survivor, an amputee with a spinal cord injury who refuses to let anything hold me back. I fly down the track on my running blade, racing towards the finish line. My journey has been filled with struggles and setbacks, beginning with a chronic pain condition that plagued me since childhood, forcing me into a wheelchair for 14 long years. But in 2016, I made a daring decision that changed my life forever - I chose to undergo a leg amputation.

This bold choice opened up a world of possibilities for me. I can walk, I can run, I can compete in obstacle races that test my limits and push me to new heights. As I battled through the pain and the challenges of recovery, I found a new purpose in sharing my story with the world. I started a blog and a website, pouring my heart and soul into every word, in the hopes of motivating and inspiring others to chase after their own dreams.

I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible honor of being chosen to represent Team UK as the Vice-Captain in the upcoming World Championships race in Costa Rica and European Championships in Italy. Despite my role as a dedicated full-time Maths teacher, my heart is bursting with passion for this amazing opportunity. However, my dreams are being tainted by the harsh reality of financial struggles. The soaring costs of travel and event tickets are casting a dark shadow over my ability to fully embrace this once-in-a-lifetime experience. The thought of not being able to give my all in representing my country on the international stage is extremely challenging.

This year holds great significance for me as I passionately pursue my dreams of competing in international competitions, in both Obstacle Racing and Para pentathlon. This challenging event not only pushes me physically but also tests my mental fortitude as I participate in swimming, laser shooting, and running. Securing a spot in the European championships for Pentathlon is a huge accomplishment for me, but my heart aches knowing that I may not have the necessary resources to make this dream a reality. The thought of not being able to showcase my skills and represent my country on such a prestigious stage fills me with a deep sense of longing and disappointment. I yearn to compete and excel, to prove to myself and others that I am capable of great things. I am determined to find a way to overcome this obstacle, to fight for my place in the championships and to show the world the fire and passion that burns within me.
