Hi, my name is Leanne Delaney, and I’m fundraising for my brother-in-law, Jamie Carroll.

Jamie is just 27 years old, originally from Ireland, and moved to Sydney a little over a year and a half ago to build a better life. He’s a hardworking electrician with big dreams, always ready to put in the effort for a brighter future.

A few weeks ago, Jamie’s life changed suddenly when he suffered a stroke. Just before this he was due to start his regional work, he was faced with this devastating setback. At such a young age, this has been an incredibly difficult and unexpected challenge for him and all of us who love him.

Jamie now faces a long road of rehabilitation and recovery. He is unable to work, and the costs of therapy, medical bills, and making necessary adjustments for his day-to-day life are quickly adding up. On top of this, we are hoping to bring loved ones over from Ireland to Sydney to help support him through this difficult time.

We are raising funds to help cover:

Medical bills and ongoing therapy

Home modifications and equipment to aid his recovery

Every day living expenses while he is unable to work

Travel costs to allow family members to be with him and to support him

Jamie is such a determined, kind, and hardworking young man, and with the right support, we know he can focus fully on his rehabilitation and get back on his feet.
