As some of you may or may not be aware, our best friends have been put through the ringer the last 18 months.
Jamie has been battling Lyme disease a cruel illness that has left him at times bedridden for days, all while Mel was pregnant with Harriet as well as taking care of their little fire cracker Addison.
They spent thousands of dollars last year on treatments here in Australia they thought would work. At first it looked to be successful but unfortunately it has come back and left Jamie just as sick as he was at the beginning. They now have no choice but for Jamie to seek treatment offshore and head to Bali. This means leaving his girls for a whole month.
There is no Medicare or government funding as our Australian Government refuses to acknowledge the thousands of people battling this terrible illness. This treatment in Bali is going to cost upwards of $10,000, which is huge to any young family especially when their main income provider Jamie won’t be able to work. This is so tough, not only for Jamie but also for Melissa who has been juggling a toddler, a newborn, taking care of Jamie, helping Jamie at work and all the other daily things we all have to do, all while trying so hard to stay positive.
If we can help, I’m hoping we can take some of the financial pressures off their shoulders, so they can focus on what is most important which is getting Jamie back to being healthy and back to being with his girls and being able to be the fun active dad he so desperately wants to be again!
All funds raised will go directly to Melissa Stamp and Jamie Stamp, to help pay for Jamie’s ozone treatment in Bali.
