Our friend Jamie Apostolos is facing an unimaginable tragedy. Three weeks ago, her fiancé Aaron Erichson—just 30 years old—lost his life in a devastating all-terrain vehicle (ATV) accident in Joshua Tree. In the blink of an eye, Jamie's world shattered, leaving her and her two young daughters without their partner, father figure, and provider.
As if the grief weren't overwhelming enough, Jamie now faces a cruel twist of fate. Because she and Aaron weren't yet married, she has no legal claim to the home they've shared for years. To compound this injustice, during a moment of vulnerability, someone took advantage of her grief and stole their valuables and savings. Now, Jamie and her girls are not only heartbroken but also penniless and on the verge of homelessness.
Many of you know Jamie as the heart and soul of DTJT House. Her tireless dedication ensures every guest experiences comfort, safety, and impeccable cleanliness, all wrapped in good vibes. Now, it's our turn to support her.
With both families unable to assist, we're reaching out to our community. Our goal is to raise enough funds to cover a year of expenses, allowing Jamie's daughters to finish their school year, while working with local grief counselors, and remain in the only home they've known. Jamie's pride and grief prevent her from asking for help, so we must step up on her behalf.
As a veteran professional stunt woman and stunt coordinator with over three decades of experience (and a titanium skull to show for it), I implore everyone: please, always use proper protective gear when enjoying any wheeled activity.
Let's rally around Jamie in her darkest hour. Your generosity can be the light that guides her family through this storm. Together, we can make a difference.
Stay safe. Be kind to one another. And please, if you can, help Jamie rebuild her life.
