Hi, my name is Karen Malizia. I’m helping my friend Jamie Cavalieri and her family rebuild their lives after facing a devastating loss on January 22nd when their beloved home burned down.

On the night of Saturday, January 22nd, 2022, as the family watched the Bengals game on tv, a fire started within the walls of their Wappingers Falls home due to faulty wiring. Within 10 minutes, the sanctuary they knew and loved for over 13 years burned to the ground.

Jamie lived in the home with her Mother Donna, sons Giancarlo, Julian and Kevin Jr. Dogs Willow, Rockstar, Lacie Gaga, Violet, Vito and Vinnie made it out safely. Sadly, Rockstar succumbed to injuries six days later, leaving the family even more broken-hearted.

For anyone that knows Jamie, she is the person who lights up a room with her sense of humor and hearty laughter. She would do just about anything for anyone. I hate to see her light dimmed at this time and would like to bring a smile to her and her family's faces again.

Insurance covers the cost of items, but it is a very timely process and a headache, significantly adding to the devastation the family has experienced.
