I created this GoFundMe on behalf of my dear friend Jamie, with her permission, to help support her and her three children as they navigate an incredibly difficult life transition.

Jamie and I have been friends for many years, and I’m grateful to be able to help take one small thing off her plate by organizing this fundraiser.

The words below are Jamie’s own:

"I’m raising funds to help me navigate a major life transition and build a stable, independent future for myself and my three children.

After many years living overseas, I am facing the process of eventually returning to the United States and starting over. Because of the circumstances surrounding this transition, I will need legal representation in Germany to help me navigate the process of returning to the United States, as well as legal representation once I am back in America.

I will also have significant relocation and start-up expenses, including travel and transportation, moving costs, a security deposit and first month’s rent, basic household necessities, and the many unexpected expenses that come with establishing a new home.

I am fortunate to have people in my life who care about me deeply, but I don’t have family with the financial means to provide the kind of assistance I will need during this transition. I will need some time to get settled, find employment, and become financially independent, and I am hoping to create a small financial cushion that will allow me to do that without being overwhelmed by the costs of starting over.

I am doing everything I can to move forward and create a stable future for my children and myself. The funds raised will help me obtain the legal guidance I need, relocate, establish a home, and give us the time and stability necessary to begin this next chapter.

Asking for help is not easy, but I am incredibly grateful for every person who chooses to support us. Every contribution, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference. And if you aren’t able to donate, simply sharing this fundraiser would mean so much to me.
