Help Jamie Afford Life-Changing Migraine Treatment

Hello!

My name is Jamie and this is incredibly hard to do. Since April 2025, I have been dealing with daily migraines to varying degrees. I also have a recurrent condition called RCVS—reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome—which essentially gives you stroke-like symptoms. Thankfully, it didn’t progress to an actual stroke or bleed.

I have tried nearly every medication since April to try to break the cycle with no success. Since April, I have been on short-term disability while trying various medications. This has led me to be very behind on bills. However, this GoFundMe isn’t for my bills; this is for the cost of getting an infusion medication called Vyepti. My insurance will not cover this medication until I try one more medication for a minimum of 3 months, but per my neurologist’s peer-to-peer, the company can move the goal post. The amount I am asking for ($5,750) is to cover the out-of-pocket cost of the medication for the infusion as well as the infusion appointment since it would be entirely out of pocket.

The medication is infused once every 3 months, which, if it works, gives me time to continue trying the other medication per insurance requirement while also breaking the migraine.

I know things are tough for everyone right now, and I truly appreciate you even taking the time to read this post.

If I raise more than the asked amount, I would use it to pay off debt accumulated while having to use credit cards during my leave where I was only making 60% of my income.
