Help Jamey Recover from Severe Flood Damage
Donation protected
Hey now! This is Joe Griffin asking all you kind souls to help our brother and favorite river-rat, Jamey Wiglesworth. On Sunday, April 6th, Jamey and his son Sawyer were forced to evacuate his Frankfort home on the Kentucky River as water levels were fast approaching the ceiling of his ground floor. Of course, Jamey was the last person on his road to evacuate as he tried to weather the storm and wait it out, but city rescue officials visited him by boat in his front yard telling him he could not stay. Jamey loaded up his 4 dogs Fiver, Lyra, Archie, and Penny and took refuge at my house while we waited for the river to crest and then recede. The river crested at 48.27 feet, mere inches away from the 1978 record of 48.5 feet, so the damage to Jamey's home is tremendous; and he does not have flood insurance. He has begun the cleanup, but the road to recovery will be lengthy, and expensive. If our circle of friends can band together to help raise some funds for our brother, I know the haul will be just a little less painful for Jamey and his family. Please consider donating whatever amount you can and share this story with others, so Jamey knows there's Help On The Way. Thank you!
