Several years ago, the members of FDNY Engine 73 and Ladder 42 were approached with a request. One of our firefighters family members was going to be unable to take care of their dog due to unforeseen circumstances and was looking for a new home for him. After some discussion, it was decided the firehouse would be able to take him in and take care of him as our own. Enter Jameson (A.K.A. Jamo), a young, loving, energetic, and extremely intelligent black Labrador. It didn't take long for the firehouse, and the community alike, to fall in love with him. Jameson became the face of the firehouse in no time, with the community affectionately renaming the firehouse "La Casa de Jameson" in honor of our new mascot. Jameson is known for laying in front of the firehouse, legs crossed, and greeting the community every morning and afternoon as they pass by. For years, Jameson was the most famous member of the house, and for good reason, he loves anyone and everyone he meets.

Unfortunately, we have recently been given the sad news that Jameson has been diagnosed with Lymphoma. After several tests with the vet and oncologist, it was confirmed that without treatment, his lifespan will begin to diminish rapidly. Treatment as everyone knows, is expensive, and the members are working hard to gather funds to support Jameson and give him the best chance at a healthy outcome. Today, we're asking for support from the community, and every dollar will go towards the necessary treatment for Jamesons diagnosis. We will continue to do everything we can for Jameson to give him a healthy outcome to this unfortunate diagnosis.

Thank you all,

The members of FDNY Engine Co. 73 & Ladder Co. 42
