Hi everyone,
I never thought I would be in this position, but I’m asking for help to save my dog, James.
Many of you know part of his story, but James isn’t just my dog; he is truly my miracle.
Four years ago, I began fostering a puppy named “Fluffy Boy James.” He had already been adopted, and I was only meant to care for him temporarily. I was new in my faith, but I felt so strongly in my heart that he was meant to be mine.
So I prayed over him every morning and every night.
By the third week, I reached out to ask when his owners would pick him up. At that exact time, the agency was trying to reach me too.
They told me his adopters had ghosted and asked if I wanted to keep him.
I immediately broke down crying, thanking God for answering my prayers and giving me the most perfect gift.
That same day, I felt led to look up James 1:17:
“Every good and perfect gift is from above…”
From that moment on, I knew God loved me and hears my prayers.
He has been my best friend, my comfort, and a daily reflection of God’s love.
What’s Happening Now:
Yesterday, everything changed.
James suddenly lost function in his back legs. He is now unable to use them properly and cannot urinate on his own.
The emergency vet believes he has a serious spinal disc issue, and he needs urgent surgery to relieve the pressure on his spine to prevent further damage and restore normal functioning.
Without immediate treatment, he risks losing all sensation in his back legs permanently.
This is extremely time-sensitive. The longer we wait, the lower his chances of walking again. With surgery, he has a 90-95% success rate of restoring normal functioning.
⸻
The Cost:
The surgery is $15,000, and the veterinary team was incredibly kind to offer a discount.
Even with that, I still need to raise $10,000 urgently to move forward with his surgery tomorrow, 3/18/26.
⸻
Why I’m Asking for Help:
This happened so suddenly, and I am doing everything I can, but I can’t do this alone.
James deserves a chance to walk again, and timing is critical for his recovery.
⸻
From My Heart:
James has been such a gift in my life and truly an answered prayer.
I still pray over him every day like I did when he was a puppy.
I believe God brought him into my life for a reason, and I’m holding onto faith that He will make a way again.
If you feel led to donate, share, or pray, it would mean everything to us.
Thank you for helping me fight for him.
With love,
Kaylan & James
