James Bisesto has always been the first to help others, whether it was through his years of military service, fostering children in need, or supporting local charities with his late wife. Now in his later years, James is facing a difficult winter alone in his trailer, relying on limited HEAP benefits to keep warm. After the loss of his wife, I’ve been by his side, making sure he has food and companionship, but this year his fuel tank is running dangerously low, and his benefits have not yet been restored.
James lives on a fixed income, and after paying for the basics, there’s rarely anything left over. He’s the kind of person who still offers his home to others in need, even as he faces his own challenges. With only about a week’s worth of fuel left and the nights getting colder, I’m worried about what could happen if the tank runs dry before help arrives. I’m doing what I can—gathering electric heaters and checking in daily—but it’s not enough to keep him safe and comfortable through the winter.
This fundraiser is to help James stay warm and secure in his home until his benefits are restored. Every contribution will go directly toward refilling his fuel tank, giving him the peace of mind he’s always given to others. Thank you for helping support someone who has spent his life supporting others.
