Help James Recover His Stolen Climbing Gear!

If you’re a local Ottawa climber, there’s a good chance you may have run into James. He’s more than just an incredible climber, he’s generously used his guiding and mentorship skills to teach many of us the ropes in all things outdoor climbing - he’s a mentor, teacher, and inspiration to so many of us. Any spare money and time he has is poured into climbing; courses to expand his knowledge, trips to build his portfolio and gear to take out local gumbies and experienced climbers alike. He never hesitates to lend a hand, offer advice, or share his gear!

Now, it’s our turn to give back. James unfortunately recently had over $4,000 worth of climbing gear stolen! — a devastating loss not just for him personally, but also for his career and for the entire climbing community who continuously learns from him.

Replacing this stolen gear is critical for James to keep doing what he does best: teaching, guiding, and giving back to the climbing community. Like many mountain guides, James also relies on his gear in order to sustain himself financially by guiding and teaching courses.
