Help James Recover from Hurricane Ian!
Donation protected
HI, My name is Tracy. I work for Big City Catering, and I'm fundraising for our dear friend and (recently retired) co-worker, James Isom.
Hurricane Ian destroyed James' home and vehicles. He retired less than six weeks before Ian hit, and more than 5' of water entered his home and his cars outside. He was rescued by National Guardsmen in a boat the night Ian hit. James thought his flood policy was still in effect, but sadly it wasn't. Every wall in his home has been taken down because of mold. Every appliance, all the furniture, all the flooring, everything. It's all gone and has to be repaired and replaced. His retirement and savings will be gone too, when he's done.
James worked for Big City Catering since the company's beginning over 18 years ago and Fenwick Catering before that. He was in Hospitality in Orlando for over 50 years. I'm reaching out to anyone and everyone who's had the pleasure of knowing or working with this beautiful human being. James is the first one there to help anyone in need. He insists on volunteering for anything I've ever suggested, from Cancer fundraisers to private parties and weddings or special occasions for strangers. He's just that guy. The guy who would do anything for anyone. If you can spare it, no matter how small, please consider helping this remarkable man. He would never ask, so I'm asking for him. James is currently living with his daughter Tari while his home is being rebuilt.
Thank you in advance for your consideration and for helping James.
