On November 16th, 2024, my life changed in an instant. I was pushed in front of a SEPTA subway car, suffering devastating injuries—my entire stomach was torn open and my arm was crushed. Since then, I’ve had to adjust to life with a colostomy bag and the reality that I can’t work right now. To make things even harder, SEPTA has an immunity clause, so I can’t seek justice or compensation for what happened.

The aftermath has been overwhelming. I’m struggling to afford the medical supplies I need, and with no income, my bills are piling up fast. Every day is a challenge, but I’m doing my best to stay hopeful and keep moving forward.
