Support James Pollard Keep His Home After Accident
Donation protected
Hello, All:
My name is Ian Volz-Price, speaking to you all in an attempt to raise necessary funds for my best friend, James Pollard.
James was in a car accident over the summer, with the at-fault driver using a company vehicle at the time. This accident led to physical injury to James, resulting in limited mobility that required physical therapy. Even with the help of his insurance and the at-fault driver, the company has yet to fulfil their end of paying out the damages, including medical costs and costs towards the vehicle.
Even with these setbacks, James has been able to bounce back and still take care of his home and his wife Annie through health issues regarding her own chronic illness. He was making progress in physical therapy, keeping up with his mortgage and continuing to be a leader in his job, earning him a promotion, and in the community through his leadership in his local volunteer sporting group that encourages all individuals to be active, creative, and kind, attributes that James holds within himself and shares with those that need it.
That is until the night before Thanksgiving.
When James was driving home from another late shift, his brakes failed on the interstate. He crashed at 50 miles per hour, destroying his vehicle and injuring himself, setting back months of financial and physical progress.
James is now in a financial position where he may have to sell his home. He does not have family to fall back on. James has no immediate family able to help and has never been someone accustomed to the easy path, growing up in halfway homes and rundown apartments. It took hard work that many have never had to experience to get to owning his own home. To lose all his hard work due to no fault of his own during the holiday season would be a travesty. As his friend, I am determined to make sure he does not have to make that decision.
James is an extremely hardworking, kind, and loving husband. He is also my friend, someone who has worked for what he has in life and deserves a chance to hold onto it a little longer. Please help me give back to someone who has given so much to the community. Whatever can be provided would be appreciated.
Kindly help the Pollards keep their home.
Thank you.
