Hello this is the Christy, Nicole, and James. The children of James Montgomery. My dad went to the hospital with chest pain not feeling well thinking it was a simple illness and quick fix. Unfortunately that was not the case... They said he had pneumonia and his left lung collapsed and filled with fluid, They inserted a drain and admitted him. With more testing they found a lesion on the lung and liver, They did a biopsy of his liver today as well. They tested the fluid from his lung and with devastating news it came back he has stage 4 Metastastic Adenocarcinoma cancer It has spread throughout his body. As of now the prognosis is not well and they will be sending him home with a permanent drain in his lung to drain the fluid for comfort and with palliative care at home. He unfortunately has been disabled for years now due to a past history of Guillain-Barre syndrome and limited movement with hands and feet. My mother will have to take off of work to help with appointments and care. As her children we will help as much as we can but this will be very costly and the last thing I would like is a burden of finances on my parents. Medical, transportation, and funeral expenses. We all love my father and he has always been the best with his grands and children this is a devastating time anything will help. We are remaining but we need to prepare for the worst.
