Hi, I’m James Kitchens. I’m a seminarian, a deacon, a full-time worker, a father—and someone answering a lifelong call to ministry.
I’m pursuing my Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree, a necessary step toward serving the Church with theological depth, pastoral care, and a heart for truth-telling and grace.
This summer, I’m facing a financial barrier that could put my progress on hold: over $3,000 in tuition due by the end of the month. With your help, I hope to keep moving forward.
Why This Matters
This isn’t just about paying for a class—it’s about formation.
My education is preparing me to:
Preach and teach with compassion and clarity
Offer spiritual care to the hurting and unseen
Serve in both liturgical and prophetic roles
Follow wherever God leads—whether that’s the pulpit, the street, or the Eucharistic table
This is my calling. But I can’t do it alone.
Where the Money Will Go
Tuition for two required summer courses: $3,100 total
Any funds beyond that will go toward books, transportation, and fees
I’ve already cut expenses, worked full-time while studying, and stretched every dollar I have. But this season, I need some help.
How You Can Help
Give what you can—every bit helps
Share this with anyone who believes in the work of ministry
Pray for me as I continue discerning the path God is calling me toward
Thank You
I’m deeply grateful for every person who supports this journey. You’re not just helping me stay in school—you’re helping equip someone who wants to serve, tell the truth, and love the Church in all her beauty and brokenness.
If you’ve read this far, thank you. I’ll keep you updated on everything.
With hope and peace,
James Kitchens
