My name is Janice Eismont, and for the past year, I have had the honor of being the primary caregiver for my father who is now in hospice care. We are a team navigating the challenges of his health and my own. I live with a chronic, inoperable physical condition that causes me significant pain and limits my mobility, making the physical demands of caregiving increasingly difficult to manage on my own.
We have reached a crossroads where we can no longer stay where we are. To ensure my father receives the specialized care he deserves and to surround us both with the family support we desperately need, we are preparing to relocate to an assisted living facility in Dallas Texas. This transition was already a massive undertaking, but we recently faced a devastating setback: our main checking account was hacked. This has left us in a state of financial limbo.
Moving my father to a place where we have a support system will allow me to focus on being his daughter again, rather than just his exhausted caregiver. Any amount helps, and if you cannot donate, please consider sharing our story.
With gratitude,
Janice Eismont
