Help James Continue His Recovery:
We’re reaching out for prayers and financial support as we continue this journey with James. Thankfully, his medical and transportation needs are covered, but we’re facing financial challenges due to my missed work from frequent appointments and the need to make our home more accessible for him. Any help or support means so much to us during this time. Thank you for keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers.
On July 14th ,2024 , James was in a tragic accident that resulted in a traumatic brain injury . He spent 30 days in acoma and suffered a stroke during that time. Since then his journey has been filled with challenges, strength and faith.
James has undergone four surgeries to help drain spinal fluid from his brain, which has caused major setbacks in his healing. He also required a titanium mesh plate to replace the fractured part of his skull from the accident.
After One year and three months in the hospital , James was finally able to come home. Recently his trach was removed , marking another step forward in his recovery. However James Journey is far from over.
James still faces many medical appointments with neurology, ENT, and surgeries. He is currently Non- ambulatory and is learning how to speak again and work to regain movement on the left side of his body affected by the stroke. He remains on seizure medication and may experience seizures the rest of his life due to the injury.
James is beginning his intensive physical therapy to strengthen his legs, neck and back to rebuild muscle and mobility. Doctors estimate three years for his brain to heal and even longer for his body to fully recover.
Throughout this Long road , our faith in god has been our greatest strength. We believe the Lord Carried James this far and will continue to guide his healing.
We're asking for support to help cover medical expenses, therapy , transportation , and ongoing care as James continues his fight toward recovery. Any contribution no matter how small means the world to our family and helps us stay focused on his healing.
Thank you all for the Prayers, Consideration and Hope!
