My name is James, and I am reaching out for help during a very difficult time in my life. I have an amputated leg, and recently developed a severe sore on it. My doctor and I both agree that the best way for it to heal is to keep the wound uncovered and open, but this has become nearly impossible for me.

I have become homeless, and without a safe place to stay, I cannot properly care for my wound or follow my doctor’s advice. Every day, I worry about my health and the risk of needing more operations if my sore doesn’t heal. A friend suggested I start this fundraiser so I could afford to stay at a motel, where I would have a clean and private space to rest and let my wound heal as it needs to.
