Help My Husband Fight Stage 4 Colon Cancer

Hi, my name is Melissa, and I’m fundraising for my incredible husband, James, who was recently diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer.

James and I have been planning our dream wedding for a long time. Unfortunately our timeline was sped up after his diagnosis. We just finalized our marriage with an intimate ceremony.

This is not the life we expected to begin together. We imagined planning our future, not fighting for it. But here we are — and we’re ready to fight with everything we have. Unfortunately, we can’t do it alone.

How It Started

On August 15, 2025, we went to the ER, thinking James might have a stomach abscess. He was admitted right away. Everything moved so fast. Within hours, we were hearing words no one wants to hear: advanced cancer. Stage 4 colon cancer. No warning. No time to prepare. And to make things even harder, he does not have health insurance.

Why We Need Help

We are already facing a mountain of medical bills, and they’re only growing. Between hospital stays, scans, upcoming chemotherapy, and travel to a cancer treatment facility, we’re looking at an estimated $60,000 in costs. With both of us needing to step away from work to focus fully on treatment and care, even basic living expenses are becoming difficult.
