Hi I’m Melissa, our family is asking for your support for my brother in law James, who is 55 years young, bravely fighting leukemia.

James has recently been diagnosed with leukemia and is beginning a long and challenging journey that will include chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant, with treatment expected to last a year or more. James will be spending the next month or more at Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto for treatment. This has been incredibly difficult for him and his family, as they face not only the emotional toll of this diagnosis but also the financial strain that comes with medical expenses, travel to the city for treatment and time away from work.

James is a loving husband (to Trish) and devoted father to his 2 children (Kennedy and Calvin). His family means everything to him, and right now they are doing everything they can to stay strong and support him through this fight.

James is the rock of his family, his generosity, humour and smile are infectious. He is a tried and true leaf fan and Lego lover. Yes James is a big kid at heart. James and his family are always there to help others, they are known to take friends and family into their home and support them in times of need. Now James needs our help and support.

We have created this GoFundMe to help ease the financial burden so James and his family can focus on what truly matters — his recovery and healing. Donations will go toward medical expenses, travel costs, treatment-related needs, and supporting his wife and children during this difficult time.
