This summer, I am facing three medical procedures that are essential for my health and well-being. The costs associated with these treatments—including hospital stays, scans, and medication—are more than I can manage on my own. As someone who has always tried to support others, it’s difficult to ask for help, but I know that reaching out is the best way to get through this challenging time.

For over 40 years, I have been dedicated to supporting independent music in New Jersey, especially in Hudson County, through my work with Jersey Beat and the Jersey Journal. My hope is that the community I’ve helped build will come together to support me now, just as I have supported so many artists and music lovers over the years. Being a rock critic does not come with a retirement plan, and these unexpected medical expenses have put me in a tough spot.
