Help James buy a SAFE car after head on car crash

hi everyone, I am raising money to help my son James raise additional funds to replace his wrecked car with a car similar to what he had;  a safe car.  I am doing this to try and cover the shortfall between his (market value) insurance cover and the actual cost of his replacement car. As his mother, I am trying to do anything I can to help reduce his stress so he can concentrate fully on his recovery.
James was recently involved in a 100km head-on car collision and his car has been totally written off.
He's a 100% innocent victim of road trauma where a driver lost control into the gravel, overcorrected and slammed head-on into him.
He is a very lucky young man, the police have assured him that there was nothing he could have done to avoid the oncoming driver who unfortunately died at the scene.
James is currently in hospital for physical and mental road trauma rehabilitation, it would be wonderful if he didn't need to keep worrying about the additional costs and expenses of trying to replace his car and the anguish of this unexpected financial burden.
This certainly is a lot of stress, trauma and physical recovery for a young man who was not at fault.

The TAC has the most amazing beautiful people helping with his physical and mental recovery but of course, that does not help with getting him back into a safe car once he returns to work.

We do have car insurance but the market value offer will not buy him the same safe car that he once owned and I am seeking additional funds for him to put towards the shortfall purchase cost of a used car based purely on his safety and not his market value payout offer.

I gratefully appreciate any donation that will help James, I also totally respect that not everyone can or are in a position to help.
