Hi, my name is Mylene Whitaker. I'm reaching out on behalf of my best friend James Biggs. Since May 2022 he has suffered from a sudden illness. It presented itself with stroke like symptoms, making it impossible for him to function on the job. It left him with severe depression and anxiety. While doctoring for the original illness the doctors found a cancerous tumor on his lung. For the last 9 months he's been doctoring, seeing 2 to 3 doctors a week to get him well enough to make it through the surgery to remove the tumor and 2/3rds of his lung. He just went through the surgery and had the tumor and most of his right lung removed. They have since noticed a lesion on his liver and he is having tests to find out what that may be and what if anything needs to be done. After surgery he had complications and was taken back to Swedish Hospital for another procedure and is now home recovering. During all this his disability was denied and dshs didn't file some paperwork and so now he is behind in all bills, rent, utilities,, truck payment and looking at losing everything. We are working on the paperwork again, but it all takes time and bill collectors don't wait. Any help you can offer would be appreciated to keep my friend in his own place so he can heal and move forward with his life without worry of even more loss.
