Help James & Suzi Abel after their loss
Donation protected
Dear Friends of the Abels,
Most of you know me, Pam Dombek. I have been a good friend of the family and I live near them in Florida and have been to Dogwood campground many times!
We are reaching out to all of you unaffected by the devastation of Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
James' dad owned Dogwood campground and left a legacy behind so that his son and later, his grandchildren would own and operate this grand campground in Chimney Rock, North Carolina.
As you know, the town of Asheville and the surrounding area of Chimney Rock was devastated by high winds and deadly flooding. The beautiful river next to the campground rose and widened within hours, tearing away the property and literally sweeping away the campers and all of the surrounding property. Chimney Rock as we knew it is completely gone.
This devastating hurricane not only completely wiped out James' past, but his future there is gone as well. This was to be James and Suzi's retirement. And now it's only a memory to James and his family. It's uncertain what the future will bring, but whatever it is, it will literally take years.
What we are asking is for all of you who know James and the Abel family to please donate to help sustain him and his family. Everyone who knows James knows what a hard working, honest and all around great guy he is. Let's help him now to get back on his feet and BE A LIFE LINE for James and Suzi!
