Hi, my name is Hailey and I'm fundraising for my parents' (James and Mary Machado). Yesterday night my parents lost their home that we've lived in for several years, the town we grew up in, and the business they put their heart and soul into, serving as a welcoming daycare to children all across the community. We are completely devastated right now. It doesn't even feel real. The whole town completely wiped out, within the span of only an hour, all of our memories here now bittersweet feeling. The Dixie Fire has taken so much from so many people and we are heartbroken. But we are all out safe and it's time to move forward and rebuild. It's time to rise from the ashes and start fresh.
