James and Frankie the kitty need our help! On Sunday Feb. 16th Frankie started to show signs of illness. By Monday he was extremely sick and James rushed him to an emergency vet clinic. After 36 hours of care and over $5k in vet bills, Frankie was released and is now home with James. While receiving care, it became apparent that Frankie was suffering from anemia, and also has sizeable tumor in his abdomen. A cell sample was taken, and the biopsy results will hopefully shed some light on what's happening.

James adopted Frances "Frankie" Horchata from Felines & Friends (an awesome no-kill shelter in Santa Fe) less than two months ago, and they thought he was only about a year old. James herself has gone through a lot of personal loss due to cancer, and this has devastated her. She's not ready to give up on Frankie yet.

If you know James, you know she is always lending a hand to any and all in need. As a social worker on a single income with bills and existing debt, now she needs us.
