UPDATE as of Nov 19: James is stable and his breathing tube was removed this morning. Testing showed promising progress in his recovery! The Schubins are beyond grateful for the outpouring of support. Your thoughts and prayers are working!!

While there are still many questions, the Schubin family is navigating the unthinkable for 6-year-old James following a virus that has lead to excessive damage to his heart and brain. James is under the care of many doctors at CHOP with his parents, Jim and Joan, and both sets of grandparents by his side.
