The Philippines is a beautiful country with the warmest people. However, It doesn’t take much to see that there is a serious lack of support for its people. Our dear friend, Joy Amahan, has a son who has contracted Dengue (a viral disease that can be deadly if not treated by medical professionals, which is a huge epidemic in the Philippines at the moment). Due to the excessive number of patients at the public 'free' hospitals, they were turned away. Joy was forced to take James to a private hospital where he could be treated immediately. He was found to be in critical condition and is now fighting for his life. Money was not their concern as they only stayed focused on saving their son’s life and finding him the care he needed.

James has been in the hospital for a week and his bill has shot up to over 100,000.00 Philippine Pesos (which is roughly $2,000.00). James will not be able to be discharged until the payment is made in full, and the bills will only continue to accumulate.

Please help this sweet and hardworking mother take care of her son, get him the treatment he needs, and out of the hospital, back home where they belong.
