Hi everyone. I normally wouldn’t ask for help, but our family is in a very difficult situation right now. Our cat Jambalaya has been with us for many years after she walked into our garage and chose our family. Jambalaya is a very gentle and quiet cat. She loves sitting near us while we work in the garage and resting in warm spots around the house. She has always been calm, sweet, and never causes trouble. She doesn’t usually cry or make much noise. That is why it broke our hearts this week when she cried all night in pain. We have never heard her cry like that before. Seeing her unable to eat and suffering has been very difficult for our family. Recently her face became very swollen and she has been crying in pain. She can barely eat and the vet at SPCA Florida Veterinary Clinic told us she needs surgery. At the same time, our family lost our jobs and currently has no income. We already took her to the vet twice and tried to get a loan for the surgery but were not approved. Watching her suffer is heartbreaking. Jambalaya has given us years of quiet companionship, and we just want to help her feel better again.
