Why We Need Your Support: A Journey and a Health Imperative

While Jamaria has covered the significant tuition costs with her hard work earning multiple scholarships, we are fundraising for the essential travel expenses that will make this journey possible and safe. As a family we have contributed all that we can in preparation for the journey yet there is still significant need and we humbly ask for your help.

1.Crucial Travel Logistics: Flights to and from the embarkation port in Thailand are a significant expense. Accommodations for the crucial day before embankment, allowing Jamaria time to navigate international travel with and meet with the program staff and ensure complete understanding of her medical needs and care plan with specifics for each port.

2.Medical Safety & Support: This is the most vital need. Jamaria has bravely managed an autoimmune disorder and a genetic disease over the past 10 years. To ensure her medical safety and provide a smooth, stress-free transition while traveling the globe, we are fundraising to cover the costs for her mother to accompany her for medical security and advocacy. This is an absolute necessity allowing Jamaria to focus on her rigorous studies knowing she has immediate support for any health concerns.

3.Supplemental Coverage: Funds will also be used to secure supplemental travel and Medical insurance, offering peace of mind and comprehensive coverage for her unique medical needs while abroad ensuring we meet the premium for her preexisting conditions.

4. Emergency Contingency Fund: Funds used to cover the cost of shipping emergency medications or to see specialists while traveling if the need arises. Also an allotment to cover an immediate emergency flight back to the US if she begins to experiences a critical health flare while abroad.
