Hello My People’s
My name is Tashanna I am doing this fundraiser for a young man name Jamal Johnson Jr he is a beautiful soul that hasn’t had a chance through his childhood to adulthood to enjoy life like young adults . Before Jamal can talk he was born with an genetic autosomal disease called Tuberous Sclerosis it’s a progressive disease that affects multiple systems in the body.
Jamal began having seizures at 4 months old also at 6months old had severe hypertension. Jamal lost his dad at 8yrs old and the following year lost his grandpa that he was very close too.
At the age of 13 where Jamal should’ve been able to go outside to play or be on a basketball team or two he was home doing home dialysis. Because he was diagnosed with Polycystic kidney disease . He wasn’t on the transplant list long when he received a kidney . But within a 1year and 6months his kidney transplant had failed . Jamal had to go back on dialysis 12hours a day where that’s all his life consist of going to school ,doctor appointments and dialysis . Where he wasn’t able to attend the prom. At the age of 18 he started doing hemodialysis 3xs a week .
This past August Jamal was positive for Covid and hasn’t been the same. The doctors have found that his disease has progressed dangerously he is at a critical point in his life. The doctors would like to perform a surgery where is kidneys need to be removed soon.
We would be very appreciative if this fundraiser can be successful so it can help this young man and his mother to get through this surgery. By donating so his mother doesn’t have to worry about expense she can give all her time and love to her son. His mother is not able to purchase life insurance for him due to his prior medical history. So we are looking to raise money that will help his mother take care of there household because she will have to be out of work for a long period of time. Everyone help is what this family needs. This family and I would truly be very thankful for all the donations.
