Jamaica suffered a Category 5 hurricane leaving the Western end of the island in total devastation. That day, many nurses and other health care workers from Black River Hospital left their families and homes to care for those in need. Unfortunately, they too lost homes, personal belongings, and are traumatized by the experience. We are raising funds to help those healthcare workers repair their homes, replace essential items, and get back on their feet. Every donation, no matter the size, will directly support rebuilding efforts and bring hope to those affected. Jamaica is known for it's warmth, resilience ,and community spirit. Together, we can help our fellow health care workers recover stronger than before.

As many know, I worked as a registered nurse midwife and mental health officer in Jamaica for 18 years before migrating to the US. I am still associated with the nursing fraternity in Jamaica and plan to donate all proceeds to the local nursing association to support the local health care workers.
