Hi there! I’m Gregory and I’m really excited that I’ll be going to The American Academy of Dramatic Arts for their summer program! Getting into this amazing program is a dream come true and I can’t wait to begin my formal acting training to become the best artist I know I can be.

MY PERFORMANCE JOURNEY

Most recently, I finished an awesome workshop production with Jermaine Rowe for his musical “Children From Blue Mountains” in collaboration with the Jamaica Musical Theatre Company (JMTC), a non-profit performing arts organisation I’ve been a part of since 2016.

I’ve performed in their annual productions including The Wiz, Annie, Mary Poppins, Nesta’s Rock and Aladdin all for children’s charity.

My love for storytelling and youth impact led me to Artribute Limited where I use acting to help high school students understand poetic and dramatic material in their CSEC English Literature curriculum.

I am also Vice President of Trapix Theatre, a youth ensemble that uses the arts to address social issues while preserving elements of Jamaican culture.

WHAT’S MY “WHY”?

It’s been so fulfilling to interact with the audience after my performances. Every hug, smile and tear I’ve received tells me that I’m able to connect with others on an emotional level. It truly warms my heart to know that I’ve been a part of projects that promote cultural retention, expose children to the exciting world of theatre (many for the very first time) or break learning barriers through ‘edutainment’.

I strongly believe that I’m called to continue using the arts to tell stories that move people and make an impact.

STARTING A NEW JOURNEY

I recently decided to chase my dreams as an actor and thought formal training would be a good place to start. I took a leap of faith, applied for The American Academy of Dramatic Arts’ A Comprehensive Foundation Summer Program and got accepted!

This 5-week acting program is built on three foundational Core Courses: Acting & Scene Study, Voice for the Actor, and Movement for the Actor, which are perfect for the stage I’m at in my professional acting journey.

While I am able to cover travel costs thanks to my family, I am not able to pay the full tuition by the deadline Friday May 29, 2026.

I’d really appreciate your support in any way possible to meet this goal. Any donation or share puts me one step closer to starting this new chapter in my artistic life.
