Hello my name is Natalie Dyer,
As i am sure you are aware, on October 28th 2025, the powerful and destructive Hurricane Melissa struck Jamaica with unimaginable force, leaving behind immense devastation across the island. The parish of St Elizabeth, a beautiful and vibrant region close to my heart was hit particularly hard, suffering heartbreaking destruction and loss.
The Impact on Jamaica:
Entire communities across the island have been devastated beyond words.
• Countless families are now homeless, their cherished homes reduced to rubble.
• Small, hardworking businesses that once supported local livelihoods have been destroyed.
• Many are left with no food, no clothing, and no shelter, struggling to find even the most basic essentials in the aftermath of this catastrophic storm.
This tragedy has left deep scars on the island, but together, we can help bring relief and hope to those who have lost everything.
Why I’m Raising Funds:
As someone of Jamaican descent, my heart aches deeply to see the heartbreaking images and hear the desperate voices of those affected across the island. St Elizabeth holds a very special place in my heart as it’s where my family comes from . Seeing the wider Jamaican community so tragically torn apart has left me feeling both helpless and determined to make a difference and do whatever i can to help.
I’ve created this GoFundMe to help the people of Jamaica rebuild their lives, to assist in restoration of homes, provide food, clothing, comfort, and bring back a sense of hope and security to those who have lost everything.
How You Can Help:
Please, if you can, donate whatever you’re able even £5 can make a truly meaningful difference. Every contribution adds up, helping to restore the strength and beauty of this resilient island and its incredible people.
Your kindness, compassion, and generosity will go directly towards helping those who need it most. Together, we can help rebuild Jamaica, one home and one heart at a time.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support, prayers, and willingness to stand with Jamaica in this painful moment. I just felt in my heart that I needed to do something and with your help, we can make a powerful difference.
Let’s stand together and rebuild Jamaica stronger, united, and full of hope.
