Hi, I’m Elisa. This fundraiser is for my mom and our family in Jamaica.
Right now, our family in western Jamaica is going through an especially challenging time. This hurricane hit the west of the island with a force we’ve never experienced and many of our loved ones have completely lost their homes. My mother’s house, our family home - which she built from scratch and dreamed of retiring in, has been severely damaged as well. Food is short and people are struggling to get by. There’s a lot of rebuilding ahead and government support will take time, so we are leaning on our community and loved ones to help us get through this.
Jamaica is the island we love, small but mighty, full of spirit, culture, positive vibes, reggae music and resilience. It has given so much to the world and now our people are hurting. But with support, we will rise again.
If you can give, even a small amount, please do. Every likkle mek a muckle is a Jamaican saying which means that every little adds up to something big. If you can’t donate, please share this message so others can. Every act of kindness helps.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts ❤️
All funds will go directly toward repairing roofs and providing food and essentials for our family and neighbors in Montego Bay.
We’re also donating to Food for the Poor Jamaica, so support reaches both our family and the wider community.
