Hello All! As most of you know my daughter Jaleah Gambill is a sophomore at Alleghany High School. A few months ago she attended a showcase camp in Greensboro to meet with some college coaches and begin her dream of playing Volleyball in college. As much of a blessing as this trip was all on its own, little did we know all the doors it was about to open for Jaleah. Last week I received an email saying she had been chosen to play on An Exact All American team in Milan Italy July 21st-28th! When I told Jaleah the news her face went to pure happiness and I knew right then I needed to make this happen even tho it’s pricey because honestly she deserves this! Jaleah is one of the most dedicated athletes I have ever seen and her true love of game shows in everything she does! She keeps her gpa a 3.5 cause of her sports and dreams of college! She plays volleyball, basketball and runs track at AHS as well as plays JO volleyball for a zonal and national team from app state club out of Boone! She’s had multiple practices a day for the past 3 months and a tournament almost every weekend and hasn’t complained one time. On top of all of this she also has to help me raise her 4 year old autistic sister who that has seizures, so while other kids are out with friends Jaleah is usually at home watching Oaklynn while I work. For Jaleah to be giving this opportunity means the world to her! Getting to play in Italy is something we never dreamed of happening but her hard work has presented her with something not many people from Sparta has had the chance of having, and I’m asking for any kind of help to make this happen for her!
