I am raising money on behalf of Jalan Parker and his fiancé Darby Saulsbury. On July 25th, Jalan was involved in an on duty vehicle crash. While responding to a home invasion call another vehicle pulled out in front of him. He did have his patrol units lights and sirens activated at the time of the accident. He broke his left hip and had do under go extensive surgery, having pins and screws placed. He is currently hospitalized at UMMC, and once discharged he will be transferred to Methodist Rehabilitation Center where he will have to have rehab and radiation on his hip. All funds will go directly to him and his fiancé for food, basic life, and medical expenses while he is out of work during this time. He is expected to be out of work for no less than 3 months, possibly more.
