Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to share that on 11/28 Jakeeya and her two young boys experienced a devastating fire in their apartment that has left them with nothing. Thankfully, they are safe and were not home at the time of the fire. Jakeeya and her two boys lost their apartment, personal belongings, and so many precious memories.

Jakeeya and her boys are incredibly grateful for the support and kindness they have already received from friends and neighbors, but the road to rebuilding their lives is going to be a long and difficult one. They are facing the overwhelming task of replacing essential items and beginning the long process of rebuilding their lives again.

I know times are tough for everyone, but if you’re able to contribute—no matter how small—it would mean the world to them.
