Hi my name is Jake First and Foremost, I want to thank GOD for another day . I wanna thank him for everything I learned so far throughout this entire process, and what he allowed me to see and understand on this journey. I’ve been debating on this for a little while, but the time is really now. For the last 4.5 years ive been dealing with kidney issues privately. I been dealing and battling with this disease. The kidney issue that I have is Renal kidney failure stage 4. Simply, your kidney has shut down. They no longer function. When your kidneys doesn’t work like it should, you have to do dialysis. Well, I have been on this treatment called “ dialysis “ 3 to 4 times per week up to 4 hours per session. I do not want to do these treatments but unfortunately this is whats keeping me alive while i'm playing the "waiting game" my greatest wish is to come off dialysis and get back to a full functional life and being able to contribute and help my wife and my family who have been the reason i have been able to get this much closer to a new and improved life i can only dream of nowadays. I am currently on the transplant list which can take up to 10 years to receive a donor kidney. So you have two types of kidneys as a recipient:

1) A living donor

2) A deceased donor

Both kidneys must come from the hospital to answer many questions. The decease donor is when someone passes away but the timing for that can take years depending on where you’re at on the list. Now with the living donor, the kidney is received from someone and the process is a lot faster. If a person would like to donate a kidney to me they would have to sign up be evaluated to see if they are compatible. This still is a lengthy process. I’m here sharing my story because It’s important that I bring awareness to my situation to my family and friends. Any donations will help me out tremendously, Even though I am sick unfortunately life does not stop for anybody and bills will come mo matter what the circumstances are. This has effected my whole life from extreme exhaustion to not being able to walk, losing my breath very easy and major headaches and cramps, things you take for granted until you're in the this position.
