Meet Jake. Jake was born with a brain injury called periventricular leukomalacia (PVL). He spent his first 10 days fighting for his life at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. He has since returned to Children’s Hospital with PVL related complications. This type of brain injury is irreversible. The effects of PVL become visible at developmental milestones. Jake will be monitored closely by his neurologist and medical team throughout his life. Jake has improved tremendously and he is moving, smiling, and laughing - some of which was said he may not be able to do. We are seeing a miracle every day and are so grateful for the continued prayers.
Much of Jake’s medical care, evaluations, and therapies are not covered by insurance. Jake’s medical care costs have been significant up to this point. With so much still uncertain, we’re reaching out for support. If you’re able and willing to contribute toward his ongoing medical expenses, it would mean the world to us. Every bit helps and goes directly toward his care. Please consider supporting Jake with his past and future needs.
