Jake is the spunkiest little boy and the best snuggler around. He has always been such a joyful part of our family — running around the backyard, full of energy, and bringing smiles to everyone he meets. Seeing him unable to walk and in so much pain has been absolutely heartbreaking for us. Jake has been diagnosed with Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD) and recently suffered a spinal cord injury. He is currently on strict crate rest for the next 8 weeks to give his spine time to heal. Unfortunately, his current pain medication isn’t providing enough relief, and he’s been crying constantly. Our vet has asked us to bring him back in for another visit so they can adjust his treatment plan and provide stronger medication to help manage his pain. After crate rest, Jake will need a wheelchair to help him regain mobility and enjoy life again. Our goal is to give him the chance to run, explore, and feel like himself as much as possible. Jake is more than a pet — he’s family. We’re doing everything we can to keep him comfortable and give him the best chance at recovery.
