We all know that old saying, when it rains it pours. That’s how I’m feeling right now. First and foremost. I had to take my old lab dog Jake who is two months shy of turning 14 for an emergency vet visit yesterday. He has an upper respiratory infection and pancreatitis. The ideal solution yesterday would’ve been to hospitalize Jake but honestly, I just can’t afford that. The visit to the vet yesterday and all the tests and medicines out the door was $950 alone and I don’t have another couple thousand for him to be hospitalized so I’ll be taking care of him myself at home and won’t plan on getting much sleep for the next few days. The vet said that it’s a strong case of pancreatitis and that hopefully he will respond to the medication‘s and antibiotics and recover, but it’s possible he may not make it through the weekend, and if he does respond to the meds and makes it through the weekend, I have to take him back again next week and have more blood work done and see how he’s doing. At the same time this is going on I’m waiting for confirmation for an appointment week after next to go back down to Phoenix and have another heart ablation surgery. So I’ll be having to cover my expenses for that trip. travel, meals and a hotel room for a couple days. Then on top of all that my Chevy truck hasn’t been doing too well and needs some major repairs and after having it for 10 years, I had an opportunity to get another truck not new but in good condition that one of my friends here has for sale, a Toyota, which I’m supposed to go pick up today so I can get it registered and drive it to Phoenix to get my surgery in a couple weeks. So with all that being said for those that don’t know the details about me. I’m 61. I might be a little younger than some people think and I’m about eight months from being able to get my Social Security and I’m trying to get by primarily from my rock business. I hate to ask for help and do this, but I decided to set up a GoFundMe campaign And ask for some help from my friends. Any little bit would help. Right now my main priority is just getting through the next few days, taking care of Jake and hoping he responds to the meds and makes it to his fourteenth birthday..
