Dear Friends and Okanagan Film Community,

As many of you know, our dear friends and film family members, Greg “Jake” Brown and Janice Saulnier, recently suffered the devastating loss of their home to the Bradley Creek Wildfire. On August 1st, a fast-moving wildfire sparked by a quad on Westside Road swept through Newport Beach and surrounding lakefront communities. The fire moved so quickly that there was no time for an official evacuation order, just a firetruck driving through yelling at residents to flee. While Jake and Janice made it out safely their home and belongings were lost to the fire.

While they are safe, they are now facing the reality of starting over. Jake and Janice have always brought so much creativity, fun and dedication to our community and now it is our turn to support them during this unimaginable time.

We have set up this Go Fund Me to help ease the financial burden of being out of house, and to help replace essentials as they navigate the long road ahead. While they have accessed support through ESS and do have insurance, this next part of the journey will be slow, long and they will face many unknowns. We would like to try to make this journey a little bit easier on them. Any contribution big or small will make a huge difference and show them that their film family and friends have their backs.
