Hey, my name is Jake Moroney and I'm here to raise funds to relocate across the country safely and securely with my boys Bebop, Archie, & Chunky.

New Years Eve 2022, my former partner and I made the decision that we should go separate ways to figure ourselves out. This saddened me greatly and I have had to work through the grief while trying to find a new living arrangement.

I currently reside in South Florida and, like so many other people, cannot afford to live on my own. I have been lucky enough to have a great friend to stay with temporarily but, unfortunately, this is not a long-term solution. In addition to that, none of my family members live down here nor do they have a place for me to stay where they are located that wouldn't involve losing my cats or living in an unsafe situation for both my physical and mental health.

I do not have a vehicle so I had to find a new job closer to my friend’s house. I am not receiving the hours that I was supposed to get when I took this job so I am looking for a second job to supplement that income. I have been taking Lyft to work when my friend cannot drop me off as there is no public transportation system close to where I am living. That expense has strained me even further. I've been very scared, stressed, and overall worried since the plan I had laid out just hasn't been working out as I had hoped. I've been skipping out on groceries to make sure my cats are okay and I can get to where I need to go and pay my bills in the interim.

My stay with my friend is only temporary, as he would like his house to himself by the end of May. My only option housing-wise is to move across the country to live with a good friend in California, where I have a job opportunity waiting and a place for me and my cats to rest our heads soundly.

To those ends, I am beseeching the internet to help me. All funding will go towards transporting my belongings via movers, as well as the plane ticket and costs to get my cats flying across the country with me and any vet appointments they may need for approval to fly. Every single bit helps. Please know that I appreciate each and every one of you that is helping me to get to a safe harbor.
