Our friend Jake P., just 21 years old, was the victim of a shocking and violent attack while simply minding his own business. Without warning, an unidentified individual jumped him and bit him in the face, causing devastating injuries.

The attack was reported to police, but tragically there were no cameras in the area, leaving Jake and his family with few answers and an overwhelming sense of frustration and helplessness.

Due to the severity of his injuries, doctors determined that Jake required emergency reconstructive surgery, including the involvement of a micro-surgeon to rebuild his nose. This was not cosmetic—it was medically necessary to restore both function and appearance.

Unfortunately, much of this specialized surgical care is not covered by insurance, leaving Jake facing substantial medical bills that no 21-year-old should ever have to shoulder, especially as the result of a senseless act of violence.

Jake is a kind, hardworking young man with his whole future ahead of him. Right now, his focus should be on healing—physically and emotionally—not worrying about how to pay overwhelming medical expenses.
