Hi, my name is Alex and for the last 8 years, Jake has been my whole world. He’s been my best friend and companion through a lot of tough years, and we even traveled across the US together in 2017. 

He’s never let me down and now he needs my help. He was recently diagnosed with lymphoma, and it’s hitting him hard and fast. The active, happy dog that strangers often mistook for a puppy even in his older years is now lethargic, losing his appetite, and likely in great pain.

I realize I have the option of letting this run its course naturally, but this guy has been there for me my entire adult life, through multiple jobs, apartments, cities and states. He has never let me down and I can’t imagine not doing everything in my power to help him in his time of need. 
I’m not a person who is comfortable asking for help, but this is bigger than me or my pride. If I am able to help him live a comfortable and happy life, for as long as possible, I will do anything to make that happen.

So far, his diagnosis alone has cost roughly $8,000. And the next 25 weeks of chemo will run between $9500-$11500.
