Jake is only 11 months old, but he’s already made a big difference in the world. Since he was just a few months old, Jake has been visiting a local palliative care centre, where he gently rests his head on patients’ laps, brings smiles to tired faces, and fills quiet rooms with tail wags and warmth. Whether he's sitting patiently beside someone during a difficult moment or playfully greeting staff after a long shift, Jake offers more than companionship—he brings light, laughter, and a sense of calm to people at the end of life and to those who care for them.
On May 13th, everything changed in an instant. Jake was struck by a car.
Rushed into emergency surgery, Jake’s pelvis was stabilized by an orthopedic specialist during a complex 4-hour operation. The procedure went well—but the journey ahead is long. He now requires round-the-clock care, pain management, and lots of help staying calm (not easy for a puppy with his spirit!).
To date, Jake’s medical expenses have exceeded $11,000.
Jake is more than a pet—he's family. He’s a loyal companion, a source of laughter, and a ray of sunshine for everyone he meets. Watching him in pain has been heartbreaking. The financial strain is real, but what weighs even more heavily is the thought of him being sidelined from the work he clearly feels called to do.
We’re asking, humbly, for your support.
Whether it's $5 or $500, every donation helps cover Jake’s surgery, medications, and rehabilitation.
If you’re unable to give, simply sharing this page with your network would mean the world. Your kindness brings us closer to getting Jake back on his paws—and back to doing what he does best: spreading joy.
