Help Jake Focus on Healing, Not Bills

Hey Everyone! It’s Ashley, Jake’s gf. I’m setting up a Go Fund Me so Jake can focus on his health and not have to worry about jumping back into work for the sake of getting bills paid.

For those that don’t know, Jake is battling Stage 5 renal failure. His kidneys dropped to 4%. His body is filling with fluid making it hard to do simple things such as walk and breathe. On Monday he was supposed to have a normal routine procedure done for dialysis, but unfortunately his surgeon refused to do surgery as Jake was too sick and his doctor didn’t feel he would make it through.

As soon as we got home we were called and advised that Jakes levels were at a critical level and it was imperative he come to the ER. He was immediately hospitalized and had a port put in his neck to start dialysis. Unfortunately during the surgery he lost a lot of blood and needed to have transfusion done the following day. The doctors decided to do the transfusion and dialysis at the same time. As this was happening, Jake started to feel funny and go numb. It was determined that he had an allergic reaction the blood he was given.

He is currently at Bellin, but we are looking to have him move to Froedert if possible. It is unknown how long he will be hospitalized for, but regardless he needs help to cover his monthly bills while undergoing treatment.

As you all know, Jake is a fighter and it’s very hard for him to ask for help. As much as I’d love to be able to handle everything on my own, it’s next to impossible right now for us to live off one income.
